How to decide (6 criteria)
Regulation & protection
Pick a broker regulated in the EU/EEA — it governs client-asset protection and oversight. Verify the license in the regulator’s registry.
Fee structure
It’s not just the trade fee: watch currency conversion, inactivity, withdrawals and spread. For regular investing even a small gap compounds.
Markets & instruments
Just stocks and ETFs, or also options, futures and global exchanges? A wider offering means more options but also more complexity.
Fractional shares & account currency
Fractional shares make regular small investing easier. A CZK account saves repeated conversions if you invest from korunas.
Demo & education
A demo account lets you try the platform risk-free. Quality educational material is a big plus for beginners.
Czech language & taxes
A Czech interface and support help; also consider tax reports and filing documents (CZ exemption after a 3-year holding test).
