How does QMA work?

Every stock is evaluated through 5 pillars: VALUE (fundamental valuation), MOMENTUM (price strength), SMART MONEY (publicly reported activity — insiders, off-exchange trading, Congress, reported positions, options), SENTIMENT (market mood) and EARNINGS TRACK RECORD (the record of already reported quarters). All pillars combine into a Composite Score (0-100) with a grade from A++ to F.

What can you expect from QMA?

QMA is an analytical and educational tool. It brings a structured view of a company into one place — valuation, price strength, publicly reported institutional and insider activity, market mood and the record of already reported quarters. Every score is explained: you can see which pillars formed it, what data stands behind them and how the picture has changed over time. QMA does not send buy or sell instructions, does not manage money and does not promise any outcome. What you do with the analysis is your own decision.

Where does your data come from?

Market, fundamental and ETF data come from established data providers; everything else is sourced from public records — insider trades (Form-4) and 13F filings from public SEC filings, Congressional trades from public STOCK Act disclosures, and options data with roughly a one-trading-day delay. We focus on US stocks and ETFs. All data is end-of-day / delayed, not real-time. QMA is an analytical and educational tool, not investment advice.

Ranking is a multi-step process. In simplified terms: a universe filter removes illiquid and hard-to-trade listings; the 5-pillar composite score has to reach the threshold set by the model; publicly reported institutional and insider activity is checked against that score; analyst consensus enters as an independent input; sector diversification stops a single sector from dominating the list; and the final ordering follows the composite score. The exact thresholds and weights are our own methodology and we do not publish them. The ranking is a research aid — not a recommendation, and it says nothing about future prices.
